I've now moved on to the Point Defiance Park docks, where I'm about to take a short ferry ride out to Vashon Island and back. But first, a couple of wildlife photos.
The first picture is of a young gull who proudly posed for me.
I think this is a black grebe, but I'm not really sure.
I've since been informed that this is a Barrow's Goldeneye, and the
pictures I've found elsewhere seem to confirm that.
Some more gulls, with Anthony's restaurant in the background.
A better view of Anthony's.
Here comes the ferry - it's about two miles accross the sound from
Point Defiance to Vashon, so this shot was taken at extreme
magnification (6X).
Mt Rainier as seen from Point Defiance, looking over the Marina.
